25 years and counting!!

Acorn Storage Center is celebrating 25 years of meeting the storage needs of Bartlesville area residents. The first Acorn Storage facility was founded and developed by Clyde W. Sare, an area native, in 1977. An industry pioneer, Sare was instrumental in introducing the first computerized management and access control system to the national mini-storage market in 1982. The management and security systems developed in Bartlesville are now currently in use nationwide and being marketed by DCAL Computer Systems of Bartlesville.

Acorn Properties' new corporate headquarters 1304 S.E. Washington Blvd.

Clyde Sare and his wife, Pat, have continued to actively develop and enhance the Acorn Storage Centers in Bartlesville using innovative ideas and designs that have been recognized by national trade publications. Acorn has three operational locations in Bartlesville and a fourth location in the development stage. Currently, Acorn has a total of 850 units, with a wide variety of sizes to meet customers’ storage needs. Acorn maintains a professionally trained staff to assist customers when storing with us.

In 1998, Acorn Properties, parent company to Acorn Storage Center and a growing development firm with mini-storage projects in several Oklahoma and Missouri locations, remodeled Bartlesville’s former "Fountain Club" — creating a new company headquarters. At the same location, the company introduced climate controlled storage to the Bartlesville market. This innovative type of secured storage is heated, cooled, and dehumidified. Acorn’s new headquarters typifies the long term goals and the mission of Acorn Properties— a company that seeks to keep its Headquarters in Bartlesville, to creatively re-use and refurbish existing building fabric and development sites wherever possible, and to maintain and develop new projects with the highest standards of both serviceability and architectural appeal.
